DT Kerrie - Vera - Be Yourself

Happy Monday everyone - I'm back today with another make from me using some Gorgeous Bee Crafty Stamps

One of my Faves ever is 'Vera' from the FASHIONettes Collection - today I have teamed her up with one of my fave colours 'Aqua' xx

I stamped 'Vera' onto smooth caardstock using light grey ink and coloured her using my fave alcohol markers. Once coloured I drew back over her eyes and lashes using a black archival ink liner pen (a bit of a trade mark of mine

I stamped the 'Star Flowers' from the Fabulous Flowers collection 7 times and coloured in the larger and medium flowers using the same aqua coloured markers from before. I added a little sparkle using a glittery gel pen around some of the edges and centres. Once dry I cut them all out, I then embossed them from the back on a moulding mat using a round embossing tool. Next I stamped the Larger Branch from the 'Beautanicals - Branches' set onto offcuts of cardstock using light grey and dark aqua inks which I then trimmed round them to create some foliage for the flowers.

To make up my Card I used a 7x7 Cardblank which I then trimmed some Aqua mirror board, textured mint cardstock and some aqua spotted backing paper and layered these onto the card front using multi purpose glue. I trimmed the 'Vera' Image and mat & layered using offcuts of the mirror board and mint cardstock from before, I also punched a strip of mirror board using a border punch which I glued accross the card front before mounting the Image topper onto it using foam tape.

Using a Glue Gun I attached the flowers and foliage at opposite corners of the image layering them up. I added gems into the flower centres, onto Vera's earrings and into two corners of the card front. To finish the card I stamped the 'WORDage Be Yourself' sentiment onto scrap cardstock, I trimmed the larger word away from the rest of the sentiment, mat & layered both sections and fixed to the cardfront at opposite corners using a glue gun.

Thank You so much for visiting my post today - please come back to the Bee Crafty Blog again soon fo rmore gorgeous makes from the Talented Design Team

Dance In The Rain

Morning, Today I am using one of the trees from the 'Tree and Branch' Set that Bev launched on Hochanda a couple of weeks ago. Sam has made a fabulous job and I have really loved using the whole collection.

I cut a piece of white Super Smooth card measuring 8'' square. I drew a very wonky and broken border around the card in pencil to create a frame. I masked this with Pebeo Drawing Gum to keep the area white while I continued with the design.

I tore a piece of copier paper to create a landscape. As the card was going to be visually two sides, I used mowed lawn across the whole piece and then added Iced Spruce Distress ink to the right hand side.

I then added another layer of hills using the same inks.

Next I added a mountain range, again using the same Distress Inks.

I stamped the tree, then placed a moon/sun mask just rising over the horizon.

I replaced the negative of the mountain mask, then added the positive to divide the card. I added clouds, rather heavily using Iced Spruce as I was going to create a stormy sky but still wanted the clouds to show a little. To create the stormy look I used more Iced Spruce and Blueprint Sketch.

Then I splashed with water onto the sky to lift some of the ink to give atmosphere and to give the illusion of rain.

I removed the masks and used the other one to mask my stormy sky.

I then created an early morning sky with the sun rising. For the sky I used Shaded Lilac. I coloured the sun using Scattered Straw and then blended from the bottom with Wild Honey. I also decided to add a couple more trees, to do this I used the main tree and masked off, this gave more perspective. Using Cosmic Shimmer Glue, I added green flowersoft to the sunny side of my tree.

Next I added some coloured flowersoft to make some blossom.

Finally I added the sentiment that I had backed onto grey pearlescent card with foam tape, I had shaded it using the Shaded Lilac and Iced spruce to tie it into the card.

Thank you ever so much for joining me today. I really hope you like what I have shared and the step by step of how this was created. I hope you will join me again next time.xx

Barbara DT - Sneaky peek at new stamps.......

Morning everyone, Barbara here with my Saturday inspiration......
Bev is back on Hochanda again on Tuesday 19th July, with a fab, new set of stamps.....get your money ready, 'cos these sure to sellout fast!
Thought you might fancy a sneaky peek..... they are HUUUUUGE! (this is a 7" square card)
The background is made with a selection of Ranger Alcohol Inks, which was matted onto white linen & black, from Bee Crafty
I stamped the 'BALLOON GIRL' in Versamark, heat-embossed with black embossing powder then 'fussy-cut' it out.
Once the sentiment was in place, I simply mounted the image with foam pads.
These larger size stamps will be fab for scrapbooking, journalling or simply making large cards.
Well, that's it for now, enjoy the shows on Tuesday,
Barbara xx

Marleen DT - A bit of scrapbooking

Hello bloggers
and welcome to my slice of the www..

Today I want to share my weekly post for

Last week I totally forgot that I was to share the last 2 samples that I made for the June BeeCrafty show on Hochanda. I already shared all the cards and tags I made but I also made 2 scrappages.
I dont thing they made it on air (I missed bits of the shows and havent had time to catch them up yet). There are so many sample for Bev and the presenters to show that its close to impossible to share them all. So that is where the blogs come in handy. We can "take our time", show what we have made and have a platform to answer any questions on how we make things..

Anyway, I've used the new BEAUtanical stamps and Inkables, and they are all availiable in the BeeCrafty STORE, HERE.

This page is a pic of my youngest, Abbie. The page is made using the stamps and distress inks.

This one is a pic of my 2 elder babies, Emma & Michael. For this one I used the sentiment stamp to make my background and I used the Inkables to make the leaves. The bigger words are from stash.

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.
If you want to see more of my work, come visit me on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest or my FB page. Its where I share the most.

Tree of Life Lamp

Morning. I have some Home Decor to share this today. For this piece I have used the lovely Oak and Maple leaves drawn by Sam from Bee Crafty along with the amazing Wonder Embossing Crystals and wonder sheets from Be Creative, both shown on Hochanda. It's been a really exciting project and I am over the moon with the results.

In order to use as little Hessian and wonder sheets as possible I first stamped the smaller Oak and Maple Leaves onto Wonder Sheets.

I then roughly cut out the leaves, peeled off the backing and stuck to the hessian, then I cut them out properly and peeled of the top sheet and covered with more hessian, then cut around the existing shape.

I used Turquenite and Goldstone Wonder Crystals and embossed half the leaves in each of the colours. While some of them were still hot I shaped them to be more realistic and to let the light shine through later. I then covered the whole shade with Wonder Sheets, covered with hessian and painted with Black Gesso, this would give a really dramatic background for the leaves.

Then I moved onto the lamp base, using the 50 mm Wonder Tape, I twisted it in lengths to form into a branching tree shape. I wrapped the tree around 2 1/2 sides of the base.

I coated this in Goldstone Wonder Crystals and heated until melted, then added more here and there to create the tree trunk and branches.

Finally I arranged the Oak and Maple leaves around areas of the lamp. I am so pleased with this project and it looks even nicer in the flesh so to speak.

I hope that you have enjoyed this step by step and another way to use the lovely stamps from Bee Crafty. I hope you will join me for my net post. Thank you.xx

DT Kerrie - Fashionette 'Peggy' Blue Floral

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Today I would like to share with you a nice simple make to show how you can team up your Bee Crafty Stamps with pretty papers/cardstocks in your own crafty stash

I am a terrible hoarder of all things craft and I even have a massive box full of off-cuts that were either to big or too lush to through away. I always feel I need to use up every little bit. I also took a step back into my own comfort zone of colouring and pretty papers

I also used up the waste from this card by using some of my Die's to create the circular shapes of the image topper and matt aswell as the dark blue flowers

The cardblank is an old one from a set I never finished using from years ago - as i am on a no-spend ban I am making use of all my older stash - after the massive de-clutter I had over the last few weeks i found lots of hidden treasures that I had forgotten about

I stamped the gorgeous 'Peggy' - FASHIONette stamp onto hammered cardstock - which I had pre-cut using a circle die. I coloured her using lots of pencils from my pencils box... I have a random mix of lots of brands but I always use them together as they all blend together quite well, from basic crayola to more expensive brands

The lovely sentiment  'With Love' - WORDage I stamped onto white card and i used off-cuts from the backing paper and matting cardstock to tie it in with the colours used

I hope I may have encouraged you all to dig deep into your boxes of stash to possible use up some of your treasures

Barbara DT - Samples from the Hochanda shows

Morning everyone.....Well after a third week without a kitchen, I'm beginning to get a bit frazzled....and because I can hardly get in my craft room, I'm just showing you the rest of the samples I made for the last Bee Crafty show on Hochanda.
I did the background for this card with Dylusions paint.....it's actually much more vivid in real life!
This card and the one below were made using the oak leaf stencil/mask and distress inks.
The masks are fabulous for either using on their own or mixing with various stamps, as I've done on these cards.
All stamps used are from the BEAUtanicals range HERE
I've just rec'd the new stamps which will be shown on Hochanda on 19th July, so guess what I'll be doing this week......if I can get into my craft room!
Catch you all soon,
Barbara x

Emily DT - Star Flowers

Hi everyone,

Another week has flown past and it's my turn to provide some inspiration.
This week I have tried to do something a bit different from my usual style.

Here is the card I have made this week...

I wanted to try using white on white with this card, as I always automatically grab black card when it comes to mounting my toppers.

I started this card by spraying some orange, red and yellow dylusions onto white card and waiting for it to dry.

Once it was dry I cut a circle out of it and stamped and embossed the Star Flowers onto the circle in white. I mounted it onto a white circle and then stuck it onto the original piece of card. I mounted it onto white card and stuck it onto my card blank using foam tape to differentiate between the white of the background and the white of the card blank.

I'm quite pleased with how it turned out and will be trying white on white again soon.

See you next week!!

Marleen DT - Zingy flowers

Hey Bloggers..

Once again wednesday and my turn to share a bit of inspiration for

I was having a good ole play one evening and thats how this card came round.
Just lots oyummy distress ink and my favorite stamps..

This is just a distress background that I splashed with a bit of water. Once dry I stamped with one of my favorite Bee Crafty stamps, the "Fabulous Flowers - Corner". I just love this stamp and its one of those I pull out time after time. I also used the "WORDage - Decisions to try" stamp. I stamped it on to a piece of scrap card and coloured with the same distress ink as on my back ground, before cutting each word out and glueing on to my card.
I decided I wanted a bit more dimention onto my card, so I stamped my flower stamp onto more scrapcard, coloured and fuzzycut. I covered each flower with clear embossing powder before shaping and adding to my card with glue gel.

And that is all from me for today.
Many thanks for popping by and for any comments left behind.

Dance In The Rain

Morning, I hope you enjoyed my last post. Today I am sharing another post using the beautiful Stamps Drawn by Sam from Bee Crafty that were launched on Hochanda on 24th June. If you missed the shows, you can visit the TV Schedule on Hochanda's website and view the shows, they are available for 2 weeks after the show. For this project, I have used the BEAUtanicals 'Tree and Branch' Set along with the Fables and Fantasy 'Ladies Profile' and the 4'' Inkables template 'Oak'. I chose to use the 'Life and Rain' sentiment.

Firstly I stamped out the ladies profile onto copier paper. I needed both the inside and outside of the profile for later.

I stamped the profile onto a piece of super smooth card measuring 8'' square. Then placed a cloud mask in position. I stamped part of the branch stamp onto her face to make her look like 'Mother Nature'.

Then I added colour using a blending tool and Shaded Lilac Distress Ink. I started on the mask, brushing down towards the face gently building up the colour.

I then built up the clouds using the same and colour technique. I used the inner profile mask to avoid lines on her face. I continued until I was happy.

Next I added the tree and also the branch as a smaller tree, using Black Archival Ink. Taking into account I wanted to add grassland.

Using a torn piece of copier paper or mask I added the hills in the foreground using a blending tool and Mowed Lawn Distress Ink, making sure I grounded the trees.

I drew some simple wind blowing from 'Mother Natures' mouth. Stamped my sentiment in place using Archival black ink. Then I used the Oak frame to create 3 trees made with Shaded Lilac Distress ink, each slightly different in depth to add perspective.Place over the sentiment.

Lastly using the outer mask I had made for the ladies profile, I used some distress ink to add colour around the edges of her face to make it look more rounded. To finish the card I layered it onto Navy Cardstock.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I really hope you like the card and the step by step I have shared with you today. I hope you will come back and see my next project. Take care xx

DT Kerrie - BEAUtanincals Oak - Life & Rain

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Over the Weekend I have been getting inky with my Bee Crafty stamps, I have been using some of the New Leaf Sets from the BEAUtanicals Collection

These Leaves are really lovely to stamp and colour in using my Alcohol Markers - I coloured some Leaves and fussy cut out using sharp scissors to use them as embellishments on my projects

I shared a make using these Maple leaves into the Bee Crafty Stamps Facebook Group over the Weekend - dont forget to join that group if  you are not already a member as its a good way to get info about upcoming Hochanda Show and to see gorgeous inspiring makes from the Bee Crafty Team and other Bee Crafty Fans

Items used in this Project from Bee Crafty...

For today's project I stamped and coloured some of the smaller Oak Leaf from the BEAUtanicals Oak stamp set, I coloured them using shades of brown alcohol marker to tie in with the colours I chose to colour 'FASHIONettes - Rosie' - I adore these cute girlies they are so much fun to colour

I picked a 7x7inch Cardblank and added some layers to the front using backing papers and brown cardstock which I distress inked the edges using Frayed Burlap distress ink, I also ran a dark brown alcohol marker along all the edges. I layered them up with a punched edge offcut of the same brown cardstock, I matt & layered the coloured image to create a toppeer and attached it to the card using foam tape to add some dimention

I used a glue gun to fix the leaves to the card, tucking them under the coloured image topper. I stamped the 'WORDage - Life & Rain' sentiment using brown archival ink, matted using an offcut of brown cardstock and fixed to the card front using the glue gun tucking the sentiment slightly under the image topper. I used some grey/blue flat back pearls to finish
