New Stamps.....Yeah!!

Morning everyone, Barbara here again with a project made with brand new stamps from Bev at Bee Crafty......and, believe me, they're fab, you'll NEED them in your stash!
I started off by paining a small canvas with Dylusion Paints, then using a couple of different Bee Crafty stencils with distress inks in similar colours.
Next, when the paint and ink was thoroughly dry I stamped the new 'Ground Elder' in Versamark, then heat embossed with gold & copper 'fine detail' embossing powder. I really, really love the Ground Elder stamp set.....
I added a few dots of Liquid Pearls, and to finish, I punched two holes in the top of the canvas and added some twine.
Well, hope you like my little canvas. DON'T FORGET to WATCH or RECORD the Bee Crafty programmes on Hochanda on Monday 29th February at 11am, 2pm & 5 pm to see mine and the rest of the DT creations with Bev's new stamps, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Emily DT - Circle Tags

Hi everyone. This week I have done something a bit different for me as I never think of making tags. I thought I'd give some a go so here is what I've made!

I have enjoyed playing with my circle frame stamps so I decided to use just the smallest one on these.

I started by getting some pieces of Brusho card I already had in my stash. I stamped the circles randomly around and then used the dotty background stamp to add some texture in coordinating colours.

I stamped the sentiments, one directly onto the tag, and two onto white card. The two on card I chopped up and glued on.

I finished them off by mounting them onto black and adding some ribbon and twine.

These are different from what I would normally do and I was really happy with how they turned out.

I hope you like them!

Watch out for Bev on Hochanda on Monday and I'll be back next Friday with some of my samples from the show.

Marleen DT - flowers

Hello again

Once again wednesday and time for my slot for

For today Ive used the following stamps:
You can find it in the STORE with all the other yummy goodies.

I had so much fun making this card. I used distress ink for my background and for any colouring.
I then used a stencil with glitter paste to create texture on my background.
I stamped my greeting and cut it woth a die and finished with faux stitching and a coat of clear embossing powder.
My flowers are all made from repeat stamping and embossing powder of the posy before cutting them out, shaping them and layering them up.
I put it all together with some hessian, a few die cut leaves and my butterfly, alsp stamped, embossed, cut out and shaped.

And that is all from me for today.
Thank you for visiting and please leave a comment and let me know you been here.
Many thanks and happy crafting.

Emily DT - Be Yourself

Hi everyone, this week I have been playing with my new stamps, which includes the style wire circle frames and a new sentiment. I have put them together to create this simple yet effective card.

Here is the card...

I started by taking a blank square of card and randomly stamping the medium and small style wire circles. I made sure they overlapped and filled the piece of card. I stamped the circles in Stazon ink.

Once the ink was dry I coloured in the circles and the overlapped areas all in different colours. I used distress markers and the colours used were: peacock feathers, broken china, faded jeans, chipped sapphire, mowed lawn, pine needles and peeled paint.

After I coloured them I went over the colouring with a water brush, just to blend the lines and it also gave it a watercoloured effect which I quite like.

I stamped the Be Yourself sentiment on a piece of white card then trimmed and mounted it onto a coordinating green. I stuck it on using foam pads.

I finished it off by mounting the whole thing onto green and black card.

This card was simple to do. The only thing that took any time was the colouring and it would look great in other colours too. I hope you like it!

Kerrie DT - Life is Good

Hiya and welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

This week I have been playing with a few of my New Bee Craft Stamps and oh how I love them

I teamed the Stamps with Inkables Templates and lots of Distress Inks

Items I used on this project that are available from Bee Crafty
Stamps:

Templates:

Inks

I trimmed a piece of  watercolour cardstock and inked through the 'Easy Frame Circle' using first 'Spun Sugar' and then 'Worn Lipstick' distress inks. I inked over the 'Circle' cut out from the frame set into the corners of the cardstock. I then inked over the corners again using the 'Circles Template'. Once dry I sprayed the 'Antique Linen' stain spray through the 'Dots Template' i sprinkled over some salt and dried using my Heat-It tool.

I then I stamped the 'Style Wire - Frame' offset from the pink circle using embossing ink and heat embossed using gold embossing powder. I also inked up just the swirls of the 'Splatter Swirl Circle' and stamped it twice around the wire circle frame, I heat embossed these using the gold embossing powder.

I then inked up the stem of the 'Flower Distress Border' and repeatedly stamped this around the edges to create a frame, using embossing ink and gold embossing powder I heat embossed like before. I used a scrap of card to Ink and heat emboss just the Flower from the Flower Distress Border, I then cut these out, I embossed them over the backs using a round embossing tool and a soft embossing mat to give them dimention.

I stamped the 'Life is Good' WORDage stamp into the centre of the circle using 'Frayed Burlap' distress ink. I then fixed the dimentional flowers to the edge of the circle (where the two Swirls meet) using my hot glue gun. I inked the edges of this topper I created using 'Pumice Stone' distress ink.

To finish my card I matt and layered the topper using Cream and Brown pearlescent cardstocks.

Emily DT - Better By Change

Hi everyone, this weeks card features one of my favourite ways to create a background - spray inks.

I love the effect you get using spray inks and the result is different each time.

Here is the card I have made...

I started by colouring two pieces of card, one using oranges and one using greens. I just randomly sprayed the ink on and left it to dry.

Once it was dry I stamped the Better By Change and Butterfly stamps onto the green piece. I then cut out the butterfly and chopped up the sentiment and mounted it onto black. I cut them out with scissors rather than my paper trimmer as I wanted them to be a bit random and not uniformly straight.

I stamped the butterfly onto the orange and glued the green one on top. This way you don't have to cut out the fiddly bits!!

I stuck the words on using foam pads and mounted the whole thing onto black.

I really love this card and I love the contrast of green on orange. I also really like the texture created by the spray inks.

I hope you like the card as much as I do!

Kerrie DT - FASHIONette Mary - Happy Birthday

Hiya and Welcome to my Monday Post for Bee Crafty

Another FASHIONette make from me today, this time it's MARY I adore these pretty/girly stamps they are so much fun to colour up using any medium but Fave of course are Alcohol Markers

Products I used that are available over at Bee Crafty's shop...

I used a masking technique for this project. I stamped Mary first onto super smooth cardstock using light grey ink and then again onto masking paper (large post-its could also be used). I cut round Mary on the masking paper and fixed over the stamped image on the super smooth cardstock so I could ink a circle over her but leaving her completely blank. I used Distress Ink pads and my Inkables Circle Easy Frame Template for this.

Leaving the Mask in place I then Stamped the Splatter Swirl stamp around the sides in grey ink and then inked lightly over the edges using black ink. I also inked a few spotty areas using Seedless Preserves distress ink and a small circle pattern template.

I pulled back the Mask to reveal my still clean stamped image of Mary, who I then coloured using my Alchohol Markers. Where I had stamped her in light grey ink the lines are softer and almost disappear when using Markers over it (I love this effect) - I drew over her Eyelashes with a fine Black Drawing Pen to make them stand out.

I added some gems and a Sentiment to finish

Barbara DT - First post for Bee Crafty

Hi everyone, Barbara here with my very first post for Bee Crafty....I'm really looking forward to using all the fab stamps and products on a regular basis.
These cards are made using the 'Bokeh' technique......not new by any means, but a lovely way to change the look of a piece of coloured card.

I've used 5 different colours of TH distress inks, an Archival white inkpad, smooth white cardstock and an 'Inkables' mask.
don't be too fussy applying the ink, it doesn't need to be blended perfectly for this technique.

Lie the mask over your inked piece of card, and apply white ink through the holes......do as many or as few as you want.

Next, chop out a shape of your choice, from the middle of the card, stamp your sentiment, (using Memento or Versafine ink) then mount onto black cardstock

All you need to do now is re-mount the sentiment onto the main piece of card, an add an embellishment or two. (I just die-cut a Spellbinders butterfly)
Mat the whole piece onto a black card base.

The black card has been stencilled in exactly the same way.
Well, that's it for today....I might have some more variations of these cards to show during the week, on the Bee Crafty facebook page, if you have time to pop over. Feel free to leave a comment if you've been inspired to try this simple technique.
